Unforgiving Gloucester put 14 man Warriors to the sword
- 2157
Worcester Warriors were made to pay for Melani Nanai's sending off.
A careless and dangerous shoulder charge to the face of Johnny May, saw the Worcester Warriors fullback rightfully sent off after 18 minutes. This was after the home side got off to a perfect start thanks to a Ted Hill try. They seemed confident in the early exchanges and well up for the game.
That all changed in an instant. Up until that moment, Gloucester were still finding their feet and made given away several early penalties.
After the red card, Gloucester got on the board through a penalty and then the game opened up slightly for them. Warriors were impressive to keep them to just a seven-point lead at the break.
In the second half, the home side found it increasingly difficult to control the Gloucester backline with one less defenders and gaps opened up constantly, and Warriors were always on the back foot.
The bonus point try was wrapped up after 56 minutes thanks to a brilliant brace from Ollie Thorley. Gloucester then had a license to thrill and were unforgiving on the Warriors.

The home side did manage one last consolation try through Van Breda, before Varney wrapped things up to score Gloucesters sixth and final try.
