A Man of the Match performance from the Munster lock on his come back from injury. Beirne delivered a masterclass in a crucial away win. He led the way on both sides of the ball with 15 carries and 12 tackles in defence. He made 30 metres with ball in hand and beat two defenders.

Ed Byrne - Leinster Rugby

The former Clongowes Wood College student is closing the gap on Healy and McGrath for the No.1 Jersey. Byrne is making the most of all opportunities he gets while the the regulars are away. He topped the carrying stats on the night with 17 and scored twice in the first-half to pave the way for a dominant Leinster win.
