Top Performers - Leinster v Wasps
- 2106
Leinster enjoyed a dream start to their title defence of the Champions Cup as they brushed Wasps aside to claim a massive 52-3 victory
The Champions equalled their longest winning streak in the competition and will look to set a new benchmark.
Just about every Leinster player deserves a mention but here are our Top Performers from the game:
James Lowe - Leinster Rugby
A well-deserved man of the match performance by the speedster.
He made a mammoth 164 running metres beating 8 defenders and made 4 clean breaks.
A truly sensational performance by the former Chief as he also scored two tries, assisted another and maintained a 100% tackle success.
My word 😨

Tommy Taylor - Wasps
Wasps were put under early pressure in the first half with Leinster taking the ball through multiple phases time and time again.
The Premiership side were forced to make a boatload of tackles with Taylor stepping up for the visitors and weighed in with a match-high of 27 tackles in 58 minutes.
When Taylor left the pitch in the 58th minute he had completed more tackles than the entire Leinster pack at that time and had made 27 of Wasps' 123 tackles.
James Ryan - Leinster Rugby
Another strong performance by the young Irish international as he got Leinster on the front foot with a number of clever runs.
He is showed off his ability to offload in contact and was a nightmare to defend against this evening.
He made 37 running metres from his 12 carries but it was the number of defenders he attracted everytime he got the ball that was simply unbearable for Wasps to counter.
Robbie Henshaw - Leinster Rugby
Henshaw was involved in just about every single try that Leinster scored tonight.
He put a number of players into gaps and ran clever lines off Sexton and Ringrose that kept the Wasps' defensive line guessing throughout the game.
He also threw a great skip pass out to Lowe in the build-up to Luke McGrath's first try and was solid defensively.
Jonathan Sexton - Leinster Rugby
Sexton marshalled his side to victory dictating play throughout the 69 minutes he was on the pitch.
He was flawless from the tee and troubled the Wasps defence with his trademark swivel and clever inside balls.
He also came up with this brilliant pass through his legs that would make Carlos Spencer blush.
Magical. Out of this world. Stunning.@leinsterrugby are playing a different brand of rugby!
