Top 6 Tries From Today’s Games
- 1614
Fiji and Ireland put together two wonderful try scoring displays today and while their results meant different outcomes for the futures in the competition, all we are focused on is the six best tries of the day.
Rob Kearney (Ireland)
The Irish No. 15 got his side off to a great start in the match! From the kick-off, Ireland setup a few good early phases, Kearney ran a beautiful line of attack and along with slick handling he sprints 40 metres to score the opening try against Russia.
Andrew Conway (Ireland)
A kick ahead by Jack Carty is well gathered by Keith Earls, who then ships an easy pass to Conway to dash home from near halfway. It was an important try as it sealed the bonus point in the second half.
Garry Ringrose (Ireland)
Substitute Jordan Larmour speed things up a little bit in the backlin and from his own half, he bursts clear, then plays a one-two with Keith Earls, who then sets Gary Ringrose away to finish off a lovely bit of running rugby.
Josua Tuisova (Fiji)
Fiji put together a lovely backline move which saw Semi Radradra draw the defence put the big fly Josua Tuisova through in the corner.
Waisea Nayacalevu (Fiji)
Fiji’s first try was something out of nothing and it all started with a lovely little kick from Ben Volavola. The ball looked certain to go out but a great pick up by Semi Radradra and an even better pass put Waisea Nayacalevu away to score.
Frank Lomani (Fiji)
Some slick handling and strong running from Josua Tuisova and Semi Radradra down the left hand touchline saw scrum half Frank Lomani eventually get the ball over the line.
