Top 14 Round 9 Highlights: Agen vs Toulon

The first half was very evenly matched.  As expected the game was very physical. Toulon looked dangerous on counter attack, winger  Radradra beat his man in very little space and fed Ashton the ball for the 1st try.  The Agen pack fought for a try in the corner off a line out. McIntyre with an impressive kicking display making all his kicks and setting up a try with a cross field to Tilsley who scores in the corner. Nanu scored an impressive try in the corner after many phases well defended by Agen, but they had too much power in the end. Toulon showed impressive counter attackand supporting runners gave Ashton the opportunity to finish his second. First half finished Agen 20 - 19 Toulon. The second half had a slow start. Both teams were very aggressive in defence and missed very few tackles.  Agen defended very well and turned the ball over but a poor kick chase gave an easy run in for Ashton to get his 3rd try.  The boot of McIntyre kept them in the game and then sub Hugo Verdu kicked a penalty from the 10 meter to put them 2 points ahead. Very close and tough match. Match finishes: Agen 26 - 24 Toulon.
