A game that was always going to be made tough by the conditions was however not short of entertainment. It was was Castres who had the opportunity to go ahead but Kockott failed to convert a penalty opportunity. They were made to pay through the boot of Jules Plisson. Following a couple of minutes in the blood bin, he came back on and converted three penalties to take the lead 9-0 at half time.
The second half was more entertaining as the home side looked to close the deficit. However, that wasn't going to come easily with Stade Francais having the best away record. The conversion was not successful by Plisson as he missed his only kick in the game. It did not look like Castres would make their way back in the game and as a result at the stroke of full time with a penalty advantage, they decided to secure the losing bonus point. They converted through Rory Kockott and the game ended 14-9.
