The Ireland coaching group have named the match day 23 for their opening fixture of the 2018 NatWest 6 Nations Championship as they take on France at the Stade de France.
Jacques Brunel names squad to face Ireland
19-year-old Bordeaux flyhalf Matthieu Jalibert has been handed his Test debut the no.10 jersey for France's opening Six Nations clash against Ireland this weekend.
He will combine with Racing 92's Maxime Machenaud as Jacques Brunel will look for a win in his first game in charge of the national side.
Higginbotham named Reds captain
Queensland Reds coach Brad Thorn has confirmed Scott Higginbotham as the Reds captain for the 2018 Super Rugby season.
The 31-year-old will be the 117th captain to lead Queensland in its 136 years of representative Rugby.
Chiefs lose Mitchell Graham
The Chiefs will be without prop Mitchell Graham for at least the opening six rounds of the Super Rugby season.
Graham has needed an operation to remove screws out of the leg he broke at last year's Brisbane Tens when he suffered a fractured tibia and fibula.
Carter and Lealiifano to lead Brumbies in 2018
The Brumbies have announced that Sam Carter and Christian Lealiifano will continue in the role of co-captains for the duration of the 2018 Super Rugby season.
Carter and Lealiifano were initially awarded the joint honour at the beginning of the 2017 season and, with Christian continuing his remarkable recovery from Leukaemia, Carter led the team onto the field for most of the campaign.
