In a career enjoying its fourteenth year, Farncois Steyn has pulled on the jerseys of the Sharks, Racing Metro, Toshiba Brave Lupus, Montpellier and, of course the Springboks, with whom he hoisted the Webb Ellis trophy twice – not bad for a boy from Bloemfontein.
His sublime skill, absence of nerves and all-round adventurous spirit have made his career one of the most noteworthy and revered ones of the modern era.
