France fullback Thomas Ramos has signed a new deal with Toulouse that will see him remain at the club until 2027.
The 26-year-old joined the senior ranks of the club back in 2014 and joined Colomiers on loan for the 2016/17 season
Having played over 100 times for Toulouse, Ramos has opted to remain with Toulouse despite interest from multiple TOP14 rivals.
Ramos will also have stiff competition in the Toulouse starting lineup next season with Italian star Ange Capouzzo joining the current Champions Cup and Top 14 champions.
Fellow French international Melvyn Jaminet is also set to join Toulouse from Perpignan next season.
Jaminet has been the first choice fullback and kicker for France since making his debut in Australia last year and started all five Six Nations matches this year.
Speaking to French newspaper L'Equipe following the news of his re-signing, Ramos commented on the reasons behind his choice to remain at Toulouse.
"I questioned leaving [Toulouse]", Ramos said.
"But I weighed the pros and cons, and today, I consider that I made the right decision. I have decided to look straight ahead and go for it."
