I am from Charleville and started playing rugby with Charleville RFC when I was seven years old. My father John and brother Brian both played with Munster so I got my interest from them and have been lucky enough to follow in their footsteps. I played with Charleville until I was 17 years old and then moved to Dolphin RFC for senior rugby. I started off playing in the back-row but moved to the second-row around the same time.
