Super Rugby Round 8 HIGHLIGHTS: Jaguares v Crusaders
- 1664
A solid performance by the Crusaders as they brushed off a fired up Jaguares side in Buenos Aires. George Bridge scored the first try of the match with a fantastic finish in the corner. He doubled up 7 minutes later when he picked up a loose ball and sprinted 80 metres to score. Mataele scored the Crusaders third from a well-executed lineout move as the Crusaders took a 19-0 lead into the break. Joaquin Tuculet got one back for the visitors 3 minutes into the second half after running a superb line to crash over the line. Mataele then burst through two tackles and offloaded in a third to Mitchell Hunt who went over under the posts and converted the conversion to regain the 19 point cushion. Emilliano Boffelli then finished off a sensational Jaguares try to bring the home side back within two converted tries, with 17 minutes left to play. Two quick tries in the 66th by Ryan Crotty and 68th by Mataele put the game out of the Jaguares reach and the Crusaders head back to Christchurch having won both of their tour matches.
