Six Nations Countdown: The Ten Second Try
- 1074
In only 10 days’ time, the great rivalries of Europe will manifest in a war of attrition on the old hallowed grounds of the Principality Stadium, Twickenham and the Stadio Olimpico.
To mark the 10-day countdown, we take a look at a flying start by the 1999 Scottish side, who scored the fastest try in the international game’s history, which was just 10 seconds in the making.
Sharp work off the kick-off followed by impressive speed saw Scotland centre John Leslie brought the Murrayfield crowd quickly to their feet as he sprinted over the white-wash.
John Leslie is the son of Andy Leslie, a former All Black captain, and the brother of Martin, who also played for Scotland.
John turned out for the Highlanders on 32 occasions and for Scotland on 23.
