Semi Radradra's season ended by another injury

Semi Radradra's season ended by another injury

Bristol Bears' back Semi Radradra has been ruled out for the rest of the season and is due to have a second knee surgery this week.

The 29-year-old has had his fair share of injuries this season after he missed the first four months due to a knee injury he sustained while playing for Fiji Sevens at the Tokyo Olympics.

He returned from injury in December but yet another injury rules him out of action for the remainder of the season.

Bristol Director of Rugby Pat Lam confirmed the new surgery will be performed on Radradra's other knee.

"Unfortunately Semi's having knee surgery this week, so that's the season ended for him, which gives him a good chance to rehab, recoup and be ready for the start of next season. That will be a positive for him," Lam told BBC Radio Bristol.

"The beauty about it is it will all be cleaned up and he will be ready for next season."

The Fijian has played 12 times for Bristol this season with the Club sitting 10th in the league with four matches remaining this campaign.

The likes of Kyle Sinckler, Charles Piutau, Rich Lane and Siva Naulago are unavailable to play against Gloucester through injury.
