Rebels and Blues open Trans Tasman accounts in Auckland

Leon MacDonald’s Blues will meet the challenge of the Rebels in Melbourne in the penultimate game of the round. 

After contesting the final of Super Rugby Aotearoa in 2020, the Blues were significantly quieter this year, finishing second on the log but emerging victorious in only 50% of their games. Their most recent performance was a positive one which saw them down the Chiefs 39-19 at Eden Park. 

The Rebels have enjoyed better seasons, winning only three of their 8 outings. They finished on a high, however, defeating the Waratahs 36-25 in Sydney.
