SA Rugby Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus has hit back at Warren Gatland after the British and Irish Lions' coach called for 'clarity' and 'complete consistency’.
Lions head coach Warren Gatland met with the tour referees to seek clarity and consistency over high tackles. This came after Faf de Klerk was yellow carded in South Africa A’s 17-13 win over the tourists on Wednesday.
The scrum-half was sent to the sin bin after a high hit on Wyn Jones late in the second half after officials deemed his shoulder had not made contact with the Welshman’s head.
Rassie Erasmus has responded on Twiiter posting two clips clips of Lions flyhalf Owen Farrell high tackles on Wednesday night.
