Quins to wrestle Bath at The Stoop
- 1016
The Twickenham Stoop will host the third fixture of the round when Harlequins take on Bath.
Quins have improved significantly since last season and are currently in the running for a semi-final berth. In fact, their 11-point lead on fifth-placed Northampton Saints virtually guarantees them a place in the play-offs, and it is now a case of fighting for a home semi.
Last round, however, Quins were outdone by Leicester Tigers at Welford Road, 35-29.
Bath lost out rather narrowly to Sale in Round 19 at The Rec.
Bath's 7 victories from 19 outings have yielded a total of 42 log points, putting them at 9th spot on the log. Out of the running for the play-offs, they will still be playing for qualification for European competition and the best possible result. They are level on points with Wasps and, thus, victory going forward is of high importance.
Revenge for the last fixture between these two would be high on Stuart Hooper’s charges’ list of priorities. In that particular encounter, Quins managed a 28-15 victory.
