Quade Cooper and Will Genia down the Reds

The Rebels move top of the Australian Conference after a 13-32 win over the Reds at Suncorp. The Reds will face the Stormers next week while the Rebels face the Sunwolves. 

Will Genia:

The Wallaby 9 was in fine form again as his decision making and execution put the Rebels on the front foot all game. His 54 passes were crisp and accurate and he ran 36m beating 1 man plus 100% tackle completion. His partnership with Quade Cooper is proving to be as huge as expected.

Quade Cooper:

12 points on the day for QC and 2 really good try assists on his return to Suncorp following his high profile exit under Brad Thorn. He was given plenty space and time as the Reds often looked flat on defence and with the Rebels 9,10 combo firing it was always going to be a tough day. Cooper lead the stats in Carries as the Rebels now take top spot on the conference and scoring more tries than everyone besides the Crusaders and Lions in super Rugby 2019.

Jack Maddocks:

Maddocks now sits on top of the Super Rugby try scoring charts this season following his 2 tries today. Both tries came off Quade Cooper's boot after first putting in a great chase and jump from a kick pass and secondly chasing down a QC grubber.
