London Irish can today confirm that James Stokes has put pen to paper to extend his time with the club.
The full-back has made 27 appearances for the Exiles in his first two seasons with the Club.
Stokes has been in good form this season, scoring a brace of tries against Pau in the European Rugby Challenge Cup, showing his versatility in the backline having played at full-back, wing and in the centres during the 2020/21 campaign.
“I absolutely love the place. There is no other Club than London Irish in my eyes,” said Stokes.
“It’s just a brilliant place to be. So many things make it special; the direction we are going in, the boys, the staff, the training ground, and the supporters. It’s the pinnacle of my career and I’m absolutely chuffed to extend my stay at the Club.”
“James has been the ultimate professional since he joined the Club” explained Declan Kidney, Director of Rugby.
“His ability and willingness to play in different positions, his work-ethic and game understanding are great characteristics to have in our squad and we are delighted that James has extended his time with London Irish.”
