Italy & Argentina lock horns after last week's losses

After what became a 47-9 thrashing at the hands of the All Blacks last weekend, Italy will challenge Argentina at the Stadio Comunale Di Monigo.
The Italians, in fact, put on a decent show during the first half hour if their clash with the All Blacks, holding their opponents scoreless until the 28th minute. Until the floodgates eventually opened in the second half, Italy had done well to hold the All Blacks back with some telling pressure.
Meanwhile, Argentina were very competitive against the French in a fiery encounter which saw the latter emerge victorious by 29-20.
This is sure to be another edgy contest full of Latin temperament – discipline will be a key factor as the sides lock horns.
The Italians have not prevailed over their South American counterparts since 2008 when they enjoyed a one-point (13-12) victory at Estadio Olímpico, Córdoba. The last occasion when they met was November 2017, with Los Pumas taking the honours 31-15.
