Ireland v All Blacks | 7 Winners and Losers
- 274
The All Blacks beat Ireland who have gone 19 games unbeaten on home soil. A Huge victory for New Zealand which could see Ireland drop to third in the World Rankings. Here are the winners and losers from the day
Losers:
Cortez Ratima:
Ratima had a tough day at the office which was partly to blame due to his forwards providing little protection.
Finlay Bealham:
Bealham managed to stay in the game at scrum time but it was when he had to return to the field after Tom O'Toole failed a HIA that the tighthead struggled.
Ciaran Frawley:
Having shown some glimses of his talent, Frawley struggled to really push Ireland back into a winning position after coming on at 10.
Winners:
Damian McKenzie:
McKenzie, who put in a man of the match performance, silenced a lot of his haters after showing a different part of his game having to keep things tight and grind out a win.
Jameson Gibson-Park:
The stand out Irish player as he sparked a lot of the good that the hosts did and put in some telling defensive efforts, with a few being try savers.
Asafo Aumua:
Another All Black that silenced some of his critics playing 79 minutes where New Zealand won eight of their 9 line outs
Caleb Clarke:
Clarke, playing an under the radar performance, stood out with some good carries and equally good defensive reads.
