HIGHLIGHTS: France v All Blacks
- 1537
The All Blacks were very dominant in the first half. The power, speed and precision of their game has left the French wanting. Tries for Dane Cole, Waisake Naholo, Ryan Crotty and Sam Cane all of which were converted by Beauden Barrett. The French showed some flair and slick handling ending in a try from Teddy Thomas. The score after the first half: France 5 - 31 New Zealand.
A different French side seemed to appear in the second half. Making the All Blacks seem very vulnerable at times. The game seemed to shift when a cross field was slapped out by Sonny Bill, earning him a yellow card and France a penalty try. France had several penalties and kicked for the corner looking for a try but were unable to get one. Belleau kicked two penalties to keep the French within touching distance. New Zealand displayed great defence and from a few French penalties kicked to touch went the length of the field to score in the final minute. Waisake Naholo claiming his second for the day. Final score: France 18 - 38 New Zealand.
