- 2625
Gloucester Rugby can today confirm the full list of players departing the club at the end of the 2022/23 season. The club thanks each departing player for their service to the Cherry & Whites during their time at Kingsholm and wish them all the best for the next chapter in their careers.
Billy Twelvetrees
Twelvetrees departs the club at the season's end to join Championship side Ealing Trailfinders.
The 34-year-old spent 11 seasons at Kingsholm after joining in 2012, making 274 appearances and scoring nearly a thousand points.
The centre captained the Cherry & Whites to European glory in 2015 when Gloucester Rugby defeated Edinburgh to win the Challenge Cup at Twickenham Stoop.
He was awarded a testimonial year last season, for his decade's service to the club.
Ben Morgan
Morgan grew up just down the road in Dursley and signed for Gloucester Rugby in 2012, going on to make 187 appearances in Cherry & White, scoring 145 points.
The number 8 was awarded a testimonial year this season, with events starting with a rugby 7s tournament at Kingsholm in June, after Morgan retires from professional rugby at the conclusion of the season.
Jordy Reid
The Australian back-row joined the Cherry & Whites from Ealing Trailfinders in 2019, going on to make just over a half-century of Gloucester Rugby appearances.
Reid returns to Trailfinders, with Twelvetrees, at the conclusion of the season.
Ben Meehan
Reid's compatriot began his career at the same club as the back row, Melbourne Rebels, also going on to represent the Australian U20s side.
Meehan joined the club ahead of the 2021-22 season after a spell at Head Coach, George Skivington's former club, London Irish.
The 30-year-old scrum-half made 42 appearances for the club, scoring a memorable try in our record-breaking 64-0 derby win over Bath in April 2022. Meehan will leave the club to return to Australia to be closer to his family.
Jake Polledri
Polledri signed to the Gloucester Rugby Academy from Hartpury in 2017. The back-row has made 67 appearances in Cherry & White, scoring 50 points.
The 27-year-old will move to Italy head of the 2023/24 season to sign for Zebre Parma, where he'll join many of his fellow Italian international teammates.
Tom Seabrook
Seabrook is another academy graduate and Gloucester native. He made 64 appearances in Cherry & White after his debut against Saracens in May 2018, when he set the record for the fastest try scored on debut at 58 seconds.
The 24-year-old centre/wing joins fellow Gallagher Premiership side, Northampton Saints, for the 2023/24 season.
Giorgi Kveseladze
Georgian international, Kveseladze, has made 27 appearances for the club since joining the club in 2021 after impressing on international duty for Georgia.
Alex Craig
Alex Craig came through the Cherry & White pathway and went on to represent Gloucester Rugby 49 times.
The 26-year-old was handed his first professional contract ahead of the 2019-20 season and quickly earned his first international cap for Scotland early in 2020.
With Craig battling for a first-team spot, untimely injuries have meant that his playing time over the last couple of seasons has been limited to 10 appearances.
Kyle Moyle
Kyle Moyle initially joined Gloucester Rugby from Cornish Pirates on a short-term loan deal ahead of the 2020-21 season before going on to earn a full-time contract after a number of impressive performances, going on to make 43 appearances in Cherry & White.
Henry Walker
Walker is another graduate of the Gloucester Rugby Academy.
The 25-year-old hooker made his first team debut against the Barbarians in 2015, going on to make 63 competitive appearances.
