Welsh fly-half Gareth Anscombe’s injury nightmare continues as the 29 year old’s recovery froma serious knee injury this time last year is still not resolved.
According to a report on walesonline.co.uk, Anscombe has some distance to go yet to full recovery.
Ospreys’ boss Tony Booth said:
“He’s delicately poised. He’s not going to be around for the short term, that’s for certain.
“He needs to tick a lot of markers. It’s been a very long, elaborate and complicated situation.
“I’m not going to go into details from a medical point of view because I don’t know enough about it but I’m obviously interested in having the best players available to the Ospreys.
“I don’t see him featuring for us in the short term. It’s a nasty one and it’s unfortunate.
“I feel for Gareth and I’m in constant contact with him. I’m involving him where I can from a mental health point of view to make that he feels connected to the group.
“The psychology of injuries are as dangerous as the physical aspect. We want him to get back, as everyone does, as soon as possible.”
