English lock 'in serious condition' following scrum injury in France

Nice second-rower James Lasis is 'in serious condition' in intensive care after suffering an injury during the Nationale clash between Stade Niçois and RC Narbonnais.

In the 73rd minute of the clash, the Narbonne scrum dominated Niçois' set-piece with lock James Lasis left injured on the ground.

Lasis was evacuated on a stretcher and immediately transported to the emergency room. 

Doctors have not yet commented on any possible side effects but the 25-year-old did undergo emergency surgery.
