The Jaguares were headed for defeat at Loftus Versfeld until Domingo Miotti came off the bench and enjoyed the most remarkable debut.
Domingo Miotti made a sensational impact on his Super Rugby debut, coming off the bench to score two tries and a conversion in the final eight minutes as the Jaguares claimed an unlikely 22-20 win over the Bulls.
Fly-half Miotti, a former Argentina Under-20 international, was introduced as a replacement in the 72nd minute with his side trailing 20-10 at Loftus Versfeld.
The 22-year-old almost immediately powered over from close range to give the Jaguares hope, before converting his own try from the touchline.
Yet Miotti was not finished there and rounded off a sensational backline move in the 76th minute to complete a dream first appearance in the competition.
Pablo Matera went over in the first half for the Jaguares, but a Jade Stighling try and five penalties from Manie Libbok looked set to lift the Bulls to the top of the South African Conference.
Miotti's stunning cameo means the Sharks hold on to first place, with the Bulls three points behind them and the Jaguares four further back after their third win of the campaign.
