Eddie Jones on Cipriani's exclusion
- 1547

England head coach earlier today named a 36-man training squad for their latest training camp in Bristol, but Danny Cipriani's name could not be seen on the list.
The 30-year-old was England's starting fly-half in their most recent game, a 25-10 victory against South Africa in June. But Jones says the Gloucester man's performances were not as good as those of George Ford.
“At the moment we’ve got Owen [Farrell] and George [Ford], who I believe are the first two fly-halves, and then comes Danny," said Jones.
“Danny’s probably third or fourth choice and he knows what he’s got to work on, which is between Danny and I. He’s disappointed but he understands. He’s desperate to play for England, which is terrific.”
