In a thrilling United Rugby Championship fixture in Newport earlier this evening, It seemed as though Dragon’s would hold on and claim the upset. However, The DHL Stormer who were hungry for their first win in Europe since 2022 would swiftly cancel those plans. A second half comeback by the South African side saw them cancel an 11-10 Dragons lead at halftime and overturn it into a 44-21 blowout. We look at the games top 3 performers on the night.

His stellar performance was certified by being awarded as Man of the match. The Stormers fullback completed 11 passes, along with 3 try assists all while gaining 26 metres and 1 clean break. Although he beat two defenders, Gelant was resolute on Defence, completing 100% of his tackles.
Angelo Davids
The Stormers left-wing could not be contained, scoring two tries and completing two off loads. Davids was lethal with ball in hand, gaining 31 metres of ground, beating 3 defenders with one clean break.
Aaron Wainwright
Although the Welsh number 8 was on the end of a result that may have been least favourable to him, however Wainwright was second only to Manie Libbok in metre gained, ending his campaign with an impressive 61 metres off 12 carries. Wainwright also beat 5 defenders and completed 6 passes and 2 tackles.
