Disciplinary update: Leva Fifita

Leva Fifita of Connacht Rugby’s case was heard by a Judicial Officer after he received two yellow cards, resulting in a red card in the United Rugby Championship Round 12 game against Scarlets on Saturday, February 19.
The incidents occurred in the 62nd and 75th minute of the fixture at Parc y Scarlets. The Player received yellow cards for Law 9.7a and 9.1 which resulted in the red card.
Law 9.7a – A player must not intentionally infringe any law of the game.
Law 9.1 – When a player and an opponent are running for the ball, neither player may charge or push the other except shoulder-to-shoulder.
The Judicial Officer overseeing the disciplinary process, Achille Reali (Italy) determined that the Player’s sending off was sufficient and therefore there is no further action required.
