Dan Biggar to become Wales' ninth test centurion

Wales captain Dan Biggar is all set to become the ninth Welsh player to play 100 Tests on Saturday.

The 32-year-old is set to lead his country for the second time and earn his 100th test cap in doing so.

Biggar made his test debut, as a teenager against Canada, for Wales back in 2008 coming off the bench for James Hook inside the opening 20 minutes.

Since then, he has been a regular in the test team and earned three test caps for the British and Irish Lions in South Africa last year. 

Biggar has won the Six Nations on three occasions with Wales. He was part of the 2019 Grand Slam-winning side and a member of the 2013 and 2021 winning teams.

Last year, Leigh Halfpenny raised the bat for 100 test matches (96 Wales, 4 B&I Lions) while George North also reached 100 Wales test caps (102 Wales, 3 B&I Lions in total).

Gareth Thomas was the first Welshman to reach 100 test caps while the likes of Stephen Jones, Martyn Williams, Gethin Jenkins, Adam Jones, and Alun Wyn Jones have followed.

Centre Jonathan Davies could also earn his 100th test cap as he currently sits on 99 (93 Wales caps, 6 B&I Lions).
