Cornish Pirates sign Charlie Rice on loan

With four second row forwards presently unavailable because of injury, the Cornish Pirates are grateful to Bristol Bears for acquiring from them the services of young Charlie Rice who has arrived in Cornwall on a short-term loan agreement.

Aged 21, Bristol-born Charlie is a former England under 20s lock forward who has also played for Hartpury in the Championship.

Cornish Pirates’ coach Louie Tonkin has commented:

“The response by Bristol Bears to loan Charlie to us at this present time is very much appreciated. A talented and physical young forward who has played a good amount of senior rugby, we are delighted to welcome him on board.”
