Anscombe making big strides in injury rehab

Welsh fly-half Gareth Anscombe is making significant progress in his rehabilitation – the 29 year-old recently posting a video on Twitter of him jogging.
It has been a long, tough road for Anscombe who injured his knee in August of 2019 and has since not seen any action.
He was struck down at the height of his powers, scoring 43 points in five appearances and a vital cog in Wales’ Grand Slam that year.
He Tweeted:
No doubt this has been the hardest thing Iv ever done, never thought I’d be this happy just to “jog” again. Just shy of 17 months out. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel 🏃💨 pic.twitter.com/LiWOPzoQx4

“No doubt this has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, never thought I’d be this happy just to “jog” again,” he posted.
“Just shy of 17 months out. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel.”
It was originally that he would take no part in the 2020-21 season, however, Tony Booth – Ospreys’ head coach – hinted at that things are looking brighter than that.
“He’s going really well,” said Booth.
“He’s around us a lot more now because he’s able to do big sessions and bits and pieces and he’s coming along nicely, which is really encouraging for him and us.”
