Alex Sanderson hopeful of Toulouse revenge

Sale Sharks director of rugby Alex Sanderson believes the Gallagher Premiership side can avenge their 45-19 hammering at Stade Toulousain in the Heineken Champions Cup when the sides meet again next month.
Sale only trailed 19-12 at half-time in the Pool B clash at the Stade Ernest Wallon last Sunday, but the TOP 14 club ran riot after the break, finishing with six tries.
“Toulouse are probably the best team in the game and we let them do too much,” said Sanderson.
“We have work to do, but I think we can do it. I can’t wait to play them again in Manchester on a cold and rainy afternoon.
“We will have world-class players who will be back and we have to accept defeat, but I think we are better than this score. Such a score is not acceptable for a team that has ambitions.”
The teams clash again in Round 3 on January 14 at the AJ Bell Stadium.
