Wasps are pinged for holding on early in the second half. Spencer steps up to kick from 45 metres, but again the kick is wide - Relief for the Wasps.
Saracens secure a further 7 points right on the brink of half-time. A neat grubber from Mordt - following a prolonged period of pressure in Wasp territory - sees Tomkins go over for the score. Spencer knocks over a simple conversion, and the half-time whistle blows. Sarries ahead by five, and in the ascendency!
2 minutes left in this half, and momentum shifting somewhat. Saracens look to have found some rhythm, whilst the Wasps have misplaced some of their earlier intensity.. Highly entertaining game so far!
The visitors steal five points against the run of play - Streather makes a crucial turnover deep within his own half, and the ball is spread wide to capitalise on a sparsely defended wing. Eventually it's Ransom who touches down, capping an impressive effort by Streather, Tompkins, Wilson and Mordt in particular. Spencer's conversion comes up short.
The Wasps' pack has dominated this quarter - Another Saracen assault comes to naught as their attacking maul stutters and disintegrates before a resolute Wasp defence.
Saracens awarded a penalty out wide and Spencer points to posts. The kick looks promising but drifts wide of the uprights. Tough kick, 7-0 still the score.
A knock-on following the line-out gifts Saracens with an opportunity to clear their lines. But a heroic heave from the Wasps' pack creates chaos at the scrum - and the ball trickles loose. Everard arrives first, scoops it up and touches down for his side. Carlisle with the extras.
A powerful Ricky Reeves bursts over the gain-line and brings his side deep into the Sarries half. The Wasps support arrives quickly and momentum builds. Saracens concede a penalty in a desperate attempt to protect their lines, and Wasps kick to touch..
Promising spell for the visitors - They earn possession following a Wasp knock-on and launch a sustained assault inside the opposition half - but a sturdy Wasp defence, holds strong and eventually a penalty comes. Carlisle relieves pressure with a boot down-field.
Hello and welcome to round one of this year's LV Cup. Tonight the London Wasps welcome Saracens to Adam's Park under the captaincy of former England Flanker James Haskell. Wasps have won all three of their games at Adams Park this term - getting the better of Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors and Bayonne - but a victory against the Saracens will be no mean feat for this Wasp outfit. The visitors enter this fixture brimming with confidence having convincingly dispensed with Newcastle Falcons last weekend, 40-3, and will be eager to improve on last year's disappointing semi-final loss to Sale. Kick off in five!
