Brett gets us back in action. Disappointingly, the sloppy play doesn't appear to have been left in the changing room.
Half time at Adam's Park and it's the French side who lead by 10 points to 6. A half that started off quite promisingly ending with a disappointing amount of breaks in play, disrupting any chance of go-forward ball for either side. It probably could be said that the Bayonne have been the slightly stronger side, but having said that, their only try of the game was quite controversial to say the least. Wasps have a lot of work to do in the second half if they are to take victory here, although Bayonne have fielded a slightly weaker side then usual, they are more then up for this game thus far. An entertaining second 40 to come hopefully!
3 minutes left until half time and things looking a little messy and stagnant from both sides in the last while. A lot of silly mistakes. It remains 6-10
Wasps pinned for offside in the ruck and offers Brett the chance to make it 2/2, which he does so with ease. 6-10
Bayonne using Fonua over and over again as their go-to man. The player is an absolute monster!
What a game this is turning out to be
Disappointment for the Visitor's camp as the TMO finds Scott Spedding to have lost control of the ball before grounding. Super cover tackle from Wade and a massive let off for Wasps. 6-7
Incredible tackle from Wade
Goode brings the difference back to just one point with another easy penalty. Mathieu Belie pinned for infringing in the ruck. 6-7
The hosts withstand a brief Bayonne attacking drive. Number 8, Opeti Fonua s carrying very strong this evening. Wasps back with ball in hand
