Pretorius performs a perfectly weighted grubber which allows Maruping to gather the ball and go on the attack. He then loses the ball in contact. It was, however, promising signs that CUT be fighting back.

The Ref disallows the try and reverses his decision on the yellow card, allowing Pretorius to come back onto the field.
Schwikkard makes a half-break and makes a brilliant offload in the tackle to Xoli who is tackled near the tryline. They recycle the ball but it is lost forward.
CUT's defence holds strong as they put pressure on the UCT backline and manage to steal the ball at the ruck. They clear the ball up field.
