Nice try. Happy for the Naki boy.
Nigel Owens calls time on the game as Carters conversion sails over. The ABs now controlling possession, carrying well through Ranger and Ben Smith in particular. After a Smith half break Claasen is pinged for going off his feet at the ruck. Carte nails the penalty to extend the New Zealand lead with 20 minutes to go on the clock.
The French hand the lead straight back to New Zealand, Tales coming out of the line at least a metre offside. The ever reliable Carter splits the post from the tee, New Zealand lead 11-9 30 mins to go.
The French refuse to buckle in this game, again carrying well to get into AB territory. Eventually the ABs are penalised for a high tackle, and Doussain steps up to again slot the ball over with the help of the post. France lead 45 mins gone.
Even start to the half, a Dagg clearance from just outside his own 22 goes dead, giving the French good field position, 44 mins gone.
