Hello and welcome to Ultimate Rugby’s coverage of this afternoons European Champions Cup action as Leicester Tigers welcome heavyweights Toulon to Welford road in the third round of the tournament and the first of these back-to-back fixtures. Currently the Tigers sit in 4th position in Pool 3 with a win and a loss under their belt while the champions, Toulon are two from two sitting on 8 points. The hosts in need of a win this afternoon if they are to keep their European hopes alive. Ben Youngs captains the side while Owen Williams is selected at 10, with Dan Cole recently returning from a long lay-off but still too early for the return of Manu Tuiliagi. Meanwhile Toulon will field a star-studded side with class all over the park, newly recruited Argentine fly-half Nicolas Sanchez will pull the strings at 10 today and also take over the kicking duties in the absence of Halfpenny, Giteau and O’Connor who are all recovering from injuries. Stefan Armitage wearing the playing at openside as he returns to his home country this afternoon. Stay with us for live updates and match analysis!
Their last loss was to the Cardiff Blues I think :)
If Toulon manage to beat Leicester it will be their 10th win in a row in the competition, only four other clubs have surpassed or equaled this.
