Silly mistakes but glos where the better team
How La Rochelle managed to lose that
Gloucester ran out 16-14 winners over La Rochelle in this Challenge Cup semi-final clash at Stade Marcel-Delfrandre. Gloucester got off to a fast start as Billy Burns slotted two penalties in the first 20 minutes. La Rochelle hit back with two penalties of their own through Brock James leaving the half time score at 6-6. After 58 minutes came the key moment of the game as Billy Burns intercepted a Brock James pass and sprinted away for the game winning try which he duly converted. La Rochelle hit back with a try of their own through Damien LaGrange but it was too little too late as Gloucester just had enough class to see out this victory and book their place in the Challenge Cup final. They will be watching the semi-final clash between Stade Francais and Bath closely to see who they will meet in the final in three weeks time.
