The moment has arrived and its the big one, The Super Rugby Final, and the two best and it must be said most deserved and consistent teams who will take to the surface at the Westpac Stadium to do battle. Not matter what happens , we will have a brand new , first time winner of the competition as neither side has won the title in the professional era. For the Lions this will be uncharted territory as this will be their first appearance in a Super Rugby Final, where as for the Hurricanes this will be their 3rd as they competed in the 2006 Final as well as being loosing finalists in last years competition.A win for the home side will be an historic event as that will mean that every New Zealand Super Rugby side would have lifted the trophy but, they will definitely have their work cut out for them as the Lions did not travel all that way to just roll over. The last time these two teams met , the Hurricanes were convincing winners in Johannesburg when they ran out with a 50-17 victory. The Lions have improved in leaps and bounds and will be a completely different team this time round. For the home side , the return of their captain Dane Coles is a welcome one. The Lions also see the return of their talisman and skipper Warren Whitley to their starting line up. The weather conditions will more than likely suit the home side more as it is predicted to be wet and cold in Wellington. The stage is set , the teams are ready. The Super Rugby Final is upon us and as always we will have full coverage of what promises to be a titanic battle between the tow best sides in this years competition.
I can't remember when last I was this keen to watch a final (for teams I don't support). This should be a great match
Boshomane the Hurricanes did not play the 'saders' in the knockout stages!
The Arkerman soldiers are not the type to undermine... They keep getting better and better. Chris Boyd's boys have kept the saders and Chiefs tryless in the knockouts. The Lions surprised the Highlanders with a comeback. Hence this is going to be nail biting match. Two best teams who want all or nothing...
