As a result of this match, Canada have now overtook Fiji in the World rankings and now lie in 13th place with Fiji in 14th.
Frantic last 10 minutes with both sides trying to add some final points before the whistle but its the home team Canada who come out on top. A huge congratulations to the underdogs who performed well on the day and through some superb individual play combined with some great clean outs in the ruck area allowed them hold on to a 2 point lead and put themselves at the top of the table for the first time. This is Canada's first win over the Fijians in 14 years!!

Just as we felt Canada's defence was too strong for Fiji to break through with numerous heavy tackles pushing Fiji back further and further. Fiji's strength through captain Akapusi however managed to break this defence and put Fiji back in contention for this game.
