Full time 17-10 Brive. A deserved result for the home time as they came out the sharper of the sides after the half time break, following a rather dull first half featuring no scores. Brive proved the hungrier of the sides and had a more clinical edge scoring two second half tries. Although Bayonne caught the home side napping in the closing stages of the game and scored a try of their own through sub prop Muller. A mention for both sides inside centres Swanepoel for Brive and Lovobalavu for Bayonne as they each looked dangerous in attack throughout. Thanks for following Ultimate Rugby coverage of the match and good evening!
Brive kick the ball through into touch through the sub scrum half to bring the game to a close.
Bayonne have muscled they way over for their first try !
Brive are very much on top as hey have controlled the vast majority of the possession since the start of the second half.
Some brilliant footwork by Swanepoel to work his way into the visitors 22 but infringements at ruck time waste a good opportunity,
A well dropped goal by Brive fly half Sola!
Bayonne have done well winning the scrum and working their way out the 22 only to be penalised and hand possession to Brive.
The scrum provides a good attacking opportunity for Brive.
Interception! The ball is intercepted by Brive hands and booted the length of the field to the Bayonne 5m line. A footrace sees Bayonne recover the ball but they are not out of trouble yet. Scrum in Bayonne 22.
