Is this some kind of sick joke?

Sam A. Jul 7

When things get hairy the lions will need BOD's experience and leadership. Poor choice gats let's just hope you see what nobody else does

Chris Price Jul 7

Shock horror guys.... Gatland has gone for the 'safe option' playing 'his' boys because they are known to him and therefore 'safe'
That is not the way a Lions coach should be playing. Phillips is off form, as is Davies. Falatau is a poor decision, dropping Croft is criminal and although BOD has been poor attacking, his defensive work has been excellent.
No shocks here. Yet again we have a coach, strongly influenced by his national team role and playing a pseudo welsh team. Poor poor poor.
On the plus side, I'm vindicated, as this will be an embarrassment to the Lions, and that goes right back to the initial selection. Too many 'safe' (welsh) selections who don't justify a place

Davis? BOD? Oh dear gatland

SlippersMadden Jul 7

Truly gobsmacked BOD is dropped. Part of me hopes Gatland gets his comeuppance! #BOD #MrConsistency #seaofred And a series win (unlikely that it is now) isn't justification either!!

Liam Murray Jul 7

There are 5 changes to that team compared to the last game Wales played and most of them through injury

Liam Murray Jul 7

What was Gatland thinking "oh ill drop one of the defenders leaders and centres in the game that's a good idea"

Rob Kemp Jul 7

Nope

Stephen Ennis Jul 7

Is o' Driscoll injured?

Joe Murray Jul 7

Gatland also said they o Driscoll has an important part to play in the next 72 hours to help the squad and share his experience. I know what I would tell him to do if I was O Driscoll.
