Luke, who was born in Doncaster, made 24 Premiership appearances for the Falcons from 2010-12 and scored seven tries before his switch to the England Sevens squad. He had played for Cambridge RFC from the U6 side to the first team, switched to Bedford Blues in 2009 and joined Newcastle the following year. He was educated at Meridian High School in Royston and Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge and now has twin boys, Oscar and Felix.
