Young lock Liam Mitchell signed the Manawatu Turbos in June 2017.
Liam's father Alistair Mitchell also played for Manawatu.
Mitchell played Manawatu age-group representative rugby and has been in the development XV.
In 2016 he was in the Evergreens pre-season team. He recently returned from playing rugby in Spain, where he was playing for Barcelona club Santboiana.
The second rower spent time with the Hurricanes in 2018 before being included as a full time senior squad member for 2019.
Ahead of the 2020 Super Rugby season, Mitchell has obtained 12 caps and will be looking to add to this.
