Ogura is a Japanese Rugby Union player who plays in the position of fly-half.
In 2017 Ogura played in four test matches, scored 13 conversions and five penalties giving him a total of 41 points. His test debut for Japan was on the 22 April 2017 when they played against Korea.
Ogura has played for Sunwolves in the Super Rugby in 2017 and again in 2020. In 2021/22 he played in the Top League for Yokohama Canon Eagles and in 2021/22 in the Japan Rugby League One- Div 1
In the 2022/23 season, Ogura again played for Yokohama Canon Eagles in the Japan Rugby League One where he played 18 matches and scored a total of 43 points. He scored 1 try, 4 penalties and 13 conversions.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Ogura has been named in the training squad for Japan.
