A product of Hamilton Boys' High School, the 6ft2 100kg fullback plays for Northland and Hurricanes.
Southland Stags fullback Josh Moorby played three seasons for Southland before being announced in the Highlanders squad as an injury replacement in April for the 2021 Super Rugby Aotearoa season.
In the Super Rugby 2022 season, Moorby played 11 matches scoring 9 tries and running over 250m with ball in hand for the Hurricanes.
