Argentine centre Joaquin Dominguez joined Edinburgh Rugby on an initial two-week trial in September 2013. The 26-year-old former age-grade internationalist joins from prominent Buenos Aires side, San Insidiro where he once played alongside another of Edinburgh Rugby’s new signings, Tomas Leonardi.
Dominguez featured in Argentina’s under 19 squad that competed in the 2006 World Championship in Dubai, with highlights coming in victories against both England and South Africa. At 6’3” and weighing in excess of 100kg, the powerful centre adds bulk to the back line, and certainly takes some stopping when at full tilt.
In July 2015, he left Edinburgh Rugby after not getting enough starting places to join French side Cognac.
