Born in Whanganui, New Zealand, Tui is a robust ball carrying prop who weighs in at almost 20 stone. Having represented the Hurricanes in Super Rugby, Tui moved to Europe where he took up a contract with Calvisano. After two years in Italy, Tui headed for England and linked up with the Exeter Chiefs. Tui has also appeared on two occasions for the New Zealand Maori.
