Big carrying back row George Stowers has won many fans in Europe due to his impressive form with both London Irish and the Ospreys. Stowers first came to the attention of European clubs after his international debut for Samoa against Ireland in 2001. Stowers was extremely impressive for Japanese club Kobe, for who he played for seven years before joining London Irish in 2009. Stowers was an instant hit at the Madejski stadium and many London Irish fans rued their clubs decision to let Stowers join the Ospreys in 2011.
