Palis was born in Albi, his father was a No. 8 for Albi and spent eight years in the club's Academy system.
A powerful winger in his early years, he played in the 2011 U20 Six Nations tournament, he continued his progression as he played in the U20 World Cup during that same year.
He was signed by Castres in 2013, who had just claimed the Top 14 title.
Two years after his inclusion in the France squad for the 2014 Six Nations Championship, Palis was selected the France 28-man squad for their 2016 tour of Argentina as well as the 2017 6 Nations Championship.
January 2018 saw Palis get included in the French squad to compete at the 2018 Six Nations tournament.
As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Palis has had 20 European Cups appearances scoring 1 try and 53 points.
The 2020 Top 14 season becomes Palis' 7th with Castres.
